Breakfast on keto is just about the easiest meal of the day. Eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese…all the typical breakfast items work on the keto way of eating. Hold the hashbrowns and hold the toast, and you’ll be fine. 

And now…you can make lots of substitutes for the hashbrowns. Concoct your own recipes using cauliflower or riced cauli in place of the potatoes. In fact, all those baked cheesy potato dishes can be made using cauliflower.

For toast, substitute the chaffle – the best thing to happen to us ketoers in a long time!

The basic chaffle recipe is one egg and 1/2 cup of mozarella cheese, but you can go wild from there – I’ve seen recipes with a variety of cheese and spices that turn into breads, buns, muffins, etc. See the Eggs Benedict recipe for my first chaffle-substituted egg dish. 

Oh but you say you miss waffles? You obviously can’t have waffles or pancakes, but can you??? I made mini-chaffles using the basic recipe plus a dash of cinnamon, then and covered them in butter and some Mrs. Butterworth’s sugar-free syrup and they were delish!
